This set was released in conjunction with the animated Disney movie ‘The Little Mermaid’ based on the fairy tale by Hans Christen Andersen. All of these toys were made to be used with water.
Ariel was a solid figure that floated in water, Eric sat in a yellow boat, Flounder was a water squirter, and Ursula was a solid figure with a suction pad which could be stuck to a bath tub.
These toys are identical to an American set released a year earlier.
