Back to School (Set 1)

The Back to School set was a purchase promotion from McDonald’s, aimed at children heading back into the classroom. Each item was available for just 33p with any purchase, making it an affordable and practical add-on. A second Back to School set was released in 1990. This set came packaged in a plastic slip wallet with a popper fastening, featuring Ronald McDonald standing in front of a classroom blackboard.

The set included: a pencil sharpener shaped like Ronald’s head and shoulders, a white plastic ruler with red writing and cut-out shapes, and two white pencils featuring Ronald McDonald’s name in yellow, each with an eraser on the end.
