McDonald's Shades

The McDonald’s Shades promotion from 1991 featured a stylish set of three hard plastic sunglasses, each with a different neon coloured arm paired with classic black rims. Simple and wearable, they stood out from other promotions by being something kids could actually use day-to-day. It’s also notable that these were available to buy for just 59p with any purchase, not just Happy Meals.

Each pair was branded with the McDonald’s™ logo stencilled on the outside of the right arm, with “Taiwan” embossed on the inside.
