Super Mario Bros 3

The Super Mario Bros. 3 Happy Meal promotion was inspired by the hugely popular Super Mario Bros. 3 game and cartoon TV series, released by Nintendo. The game follows plumbers Mario and Luigi on a quest to rescue Princess Toadstool from a parallel world.

The toys were primarily made from hard plastic, with a few interactive features adding extra play value. Mario is a spring-loaded figure that jumps when pushed down, while Luigi is a pull-back-and-go toy. Goomba flips over when pressed, and Koopa features a pump-action mechanism, press the pump and he jumps into action.
