Corgi Racers

The Corgi Racers promotion marked a first for McDonald’s, featuring a larger set of eight toys and introducing separate ranges aimed at boys and girls. The Corgi Racers were paired with a parallel Barbie Happy Meal toys set, a format that would be repeated in various forms over the following years.

Each Corgi Racer was a die-cast car, offering a more detailed and durable design compared to standard plastic toys. The accompanying Happy Meal boxes added extra play value, as parts could be pressed out and assembled into a simple race track for the cars.
