One pen was available each week with any purchase. Each pen was made from a hard plastic and measured approximately 5 inches high. Each character was detachable from the pen.

This set was released again in 1989 but with a couple of differences. All of the pens had 12 inch string cords attached, the Hamburglar pen had a less of an evil looking face and Officer Big Mac in the first promotion looked like he was holding a gun but in the second set he looks like he is holding a whistle. Also in this re-release, a new pen was added of Grimace.
