The Jungle Book

The Jungle Book set was released to coincide with the cinema re-release of the Disney animated classic in April 1993.

All four toys were made from hard plastic and were based on a similar set released in the United States in 1990. The USA set also included figures of Baloo the bear and a baby elephant.

Each character featured its own interactive movement or action feature. Mowgli is a push-along toy with a head that bobs in and out of the pot, while the remaining toys are wind-up figures that move forward. King Louie raises and lowers his banana as he travels, Kaa’s head moves backwards and forwards, and Shere Khan prowls ahead before jumping.
